Huge congratulations to one of our newest LGV Class 2 drivers, William Miles. Willie had been a waste and recycling loader for around 8 years previously, before driving one of our 7.5 tonne narrow access rounds.

We’re incredibly lucky to have such a fantastic team working for us throughout the company. Whilst all of our teams work extremely hard for us day in and day out, we do our utmost to recognise those stand out individuals that go ‘above and beyond’ to provide outstanding customer service. So far this month we have awarded certificates and gift cards to three employees from our Cotswold depot under our employee recognition scheme and we hope to be able to recognise many more in the future!

In recent months our in-house fleet team have been incredibly busy working with service commissioners to produce detailed vehicle specifications for new vehicles across our Cotswold, West Oxfordshire, Tewkesbury and Cheltenham contracts.

Today we have taken delivery of 1,100 wheeled bins for use on one of our contracts.
Stock management and distribution is just one more service that Ubico offers as a company. Our experienced staff unload and organise the new stock and carry out regular stock checks, ensuring that replacement containers are ordered in good time.

As the 10th anniversary of the 2007 floods approaches, West Oxfordshire District Council has spent more than £1m on a comprehensive rolling plan of preventions, maintenance and improvements to help ensure the impact of any future flooding events is reduced or removed completely.
