From 1st November 2021, Ubico became responsible for the transfer of food waste from the central transfer stations in Stroud, Forest of Dean and Gloucester to the food waste treatment plant in Bishops Cleeve.

We are delighted to announce that the maintenance for Stratford Park, a 56 acre park located just outside the centre of Stroud, is now being managed by Ubico. As we navigate the unprecedented situation the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak has presented us with, Ubico continues to provide key frontline services to our community which are vital for public health.

We are pleased to announce that we have officially achieved recertification of the internationally recognized ISO 14001 standard in Environmental Management, following an audit from NQA, an external auditor, whose standards are recognised as being amongst the highest in their industry.

Ubico has recently created an internal compliance team and have recently been actively recruiting to fill positions for Compliance Managers. I am delighted to confirm that Claire Blizzard moves into the role of Fleet Compliance Manager, and will continue to carry on her excellent work primarily around Fleet compliance audits. Jon Dowell, previously of our west Oxfordshire contract joins the team as Health Safety & Environment Manager.

Ubico are very proud to announce that our contract with Stroud District Council has ranked fourth in the Highest Household Recycling and Composting Rates (2017/18) recently published on letsrecycle.com. This has seen an astounding 15.7% increase from 2016/2017.
