Managing Director of Ubico to step down at end of the year
Rob Bell has announced that he will step down from the Managing Director role at environmental services provider Ubico Ltd. at the end of this year. After five very successful years at the helm, personal circumstances have prompted Rob to hand over the reins of the company.
In the five years since Ubico Ltd. was established, the local authority-owned company has continued to grow at an impressive rate, delivering significant financial benefits and tangible service improvements to an increasing number of clients. The company's annual turnover has increased from £9.8m in its first year of operating to £22.5m in 2016, and it now provides environmental services on behalf of seven shareholding Councils in Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire. The company employs over 500 staff and is one of the top 100 employers in Gloucestershire.
Rob said: "I am proud of the achievements of all of the team at Ubico. They are dedicated, professional and hard-working people, serving the needs of their local communities. They will ensure the continued success of the company in the future and I wish them all well."
Ralph Young, Chairman of the Board of Directors, added: "We are all very grateful for the success that Rob and the team have brought to Ubico. This is in large part due to Rob's excellent leadership and personal commitment. Rob will be a hard act to follow and we wish him the best of health in the future, and an enjoyable retirement."
The Board of Directors have now implemented their succession plan to install a new leader at Ubico. Once this has concluded, the company will make a public announcement.
