New Year, New Fleet
Ubico operations teams and our in-house fleet department have been incredibly busy recently, taking delivery of an entire new fleet for use on the Tewkesbury Borough Council contract.
Vehicle specifications were written up some time ago, orders placed with manufacturers and now we are thrilled to have taken delivery of the shiny new vehicles!
The entire fleet comprises of: 15 Refuse Collection Vehicles (RCVs) for collection of household waste and recycling, 2 Mechanical Sweepers, 5 Food Waste Collection vehicles and 8 Caged tippers and vans for use on Street Cleaning and Grounds Maintenance services.
The entire fleet will now be maintained in-house by Ubico at our Cheltenham depot.

However, the fun doesn't stop there... Before we can use the new trucks, we have to ensure that our operatives are up to speed on operating the new vehicles. We have been busy training our waste and recycling crews over the last week in readiness of them using the new RCVs.
Here at Ubico we take Health and Safety very seriously, it's essential that we take every precaution necessary to ensure the safety of our own staff and members of the public.
