Deliver our services to the community

Deliver our services to the community

Operations Managers, Supervisors and Team Leaders

Our operations are overseen by a team of operations managers, supervisors and team leaders at each of our sites.

Our operations managers are responsible for operational planning and service delivery, resource and budget management and they ensure we deliver an excellent service to our council shareholders and their communities. Our supervisors and team leaders manage the day to day running of the operation as well as ensuring services are safe and compliant.

This is a fast paced and dynamic role with lots of challenge and variety, no two days are the same!

LGV Drivers

If you drive for Ubico you will work a 37 hour week, in your local area - no long days or lots of travelling away from home. We will also cover the costs of your CPC when it needs to be renewed.

Want to drive for us, but don’t have your licence? We also offer a driver training scheme, for the right candidate, and will cover costs relating to obtaining your professional driving licence and support and mentoring will be offered to you.

Loaders

Our loaders do an amazing job supporting our communities and keeping them clean. If you enjoy being outside and like to stay active, this is the job for you. The loader role also offers a great work – life balance.

Grounds Maintenance

Ubico operates in the most beautiful and vibrant towns, cities and countryside you’ll find. Our grounds maintenance teams ensure our public green spaces are kept tidy and looking beautiful, providing a pleasant environment for residents and visitors alike. This is an ideal role for this interested in horticulture, and those who enjoy working outside.

From time to time, we also offer grounds maintenance apprenticeships, perfect for those interested in working in horticulture. Mentoring and support will be offered throughout the apprenticeships.

Street cleansing and building cleaning

We don't just collect waste from the kerbside, we also keep the streets clean and tidy. Our street cleansing teams are responsible for emptying bins, removing flytips, removing graffiti and supporting community events. At some of our sites we also offer building cleaning roles.

Recycling Centre Management and bulking and transfer

We operate five Household Recycling Centres (HRCs) across Gloucestershire on behalf of Gloucestershire County Council for residents to dispose of household waste. This is an active role, and one where you will interact with visitors to the site ensuring that visitors have a pleasant and safe experience.

We also have transfer stations at each of our operating sites where bulking and transfer operatives will get recyclable material ready for onward processing.
