Ubico teams up with local Cheltenham hero to provide defibrillator for public use
In 2018, Clare Seed, local Cheltenham businesswoman, co-founded Public Hearts Defibrillator Campaign, with the principle aim of providing easily accessible life saving defibrillators to the local Cheltenham community.
In partnership with the not for profit Public Hearts community campaign, Ubico and Cheltenham Borough Homes, have donated one of their defibrillators for external use, at its site in Swindon Road, Cheltenham, enabling any member of the public to have access to lifesaving equipment, 24 hours a day.
Martin Fennell, Assistant Operations Manager for Ubico said:
"We were absolutely delighted to work with Clare and the Public Hearts Defibrillator Campaign.
In the event of a cardiac arrest, every second matters and the more access to this life saving equipment available, the better. We hope our defibrillator at Swindon Road will help Clare achieve her goal of raising awareness and numbers of public access defibrillators in our community and we wish her every success with her double award winning campaign"
Clare Seed of Public Hearts said:
"Public Hearts Defibrillator Campaign is proud to support Ubico. Thanks to the collaboration of our key partners, Public Hearts is Cheltenham's founding and only not-for-profit community defibrillator campaign. With 44 defibs installed already and plenty more in the pipeline, we are going from strength to strength.
If you can't see a public access defib in your area, please visit the dedicated Public Hearts Defib Hub visit our website or get in touch with us on 01242 371 999."
